Meet Amanda

Many of my fondest memories revolve around books and reading. My grandparents had a library full of literary and childrens’ classics that they urged me to read from school age upward. I first fell in love with science fiction and fantasy via Robert Heinlen and Katherine Kurtz and Piers Anthony. My introduction to romance was with Barbara Cartland and Lynn M. Bartlett, both of whom remain in my keeper collection.

I read anything that holds my attention past the first 100 pages, primarily genre fiction of all types, ’serious’ literature, classics and travelogues. Within romance I prefer historicals of any time period or location, traditional Regencies and paranormals, especially vampires and faeries. Characterization is of primary importance, as is authenticity.
