Back in the Saddle Again

Monday, July 5th, 2010

So it’s been a long dry spell for me. I haven’t written anything for Myla Jackson in a while. A lot had to do with family commitments, travel and writing under my other pen name Elle James for Harlequin Intrigue. Myla went on the back burner. Then I got an idea that wouldn’t let go. I love the old west and the strength of the men and women who survived during the settling of the U.S.

And just recently I made a trip up into the mountains of Colorado where the mountains are still dotted with old mines and ghost towns.

I decided to write a book about the men who went out west to seek their fortunes during the goldrush of the Colorado Territory and a woman escaped from capture by an Indian who stumbles upon their mining camp.

It was fun! It was sexy and I can’t wait for it to come out. Not only that, but I have ideas to expand it into a series! Yay! Back in the saddle again! Look for Honor Bound the first in the Bound and Tied series coming out in October with Samhain Publishing.

How To Seduce A Texan

Is available at B&N online and a few other places.  Woo-hoo!!!!    It’s exciting having a new release out.  I also have a reissue of Close Encounters of the Sexy Kind :alien:  into mass market.  It’s always busy around our house but it gets even busier as a books release draws near, and I have a deadline   in 4 weeks so it’s really busy.  It’s a good busy, though.

Karl and I did a couple of new book videos.  I have to admit that he did most of the work.  I made suggestions.  Have you ever moved furniture?  Of course you have.  But it takes a few times before you get it right?  So you move it against this wall, then that wall.  And your hubby starts to frown at you.  Then you want it moved back the way it was.  Then he starts gritting his teeth and counting out loud.

I always have Karl move things around a bit on our videos, too.  It’s a good thing he’s patient.  You can check them out at www.authorkarenkelley.com

I hope everyone likes the vidoes, and the books!

Have a great day!
