Hump Day

Karen Kelley

Morning!

Have y’all ever wondered how they came up with calling the middle of the week hump day?  All sorts of things spring to mind, but I don’t think I’d better go there.  I’ll just let your imaginations run wild.

I bought Karl a Wii for his birthday last month.  We’re addicted to it.  I love tennis and occasionally, I even win a match.  We never had games like this when we were kids.  Karl was working after school and on weekends when he was really young, and when I was growing up if I ever mentioned the word bored, I was given something to do that guaranteed I would no longer be bored.  I learned to look busy.  But now we can play.

So, what are all of y’all doing this summer?  Any big plans? I’m the person who actually loves to watch home movies.  I’m also addicted to the travel Channel…and HGTV.

Hey, did y’all watch the video on Alison Kent’s blog—Christian the Lion.  I watch that at least twice a day.  It’s wonderful!  Have the sound up and tissues ready.

Karl will post a contest this morning for my newsletter group.  This is besides my monthly book give away.  We figured up the cost and I think it’s around $90.  I have some pretty cool stuff so if you get a chance run sign up www.authorkarenkelley.com

I feel the need for a game of tennis so I’m outta here.  Have a great day!

Karen

  1. The Wii sounds fun for you and Karl - I’m glad you’re winning now and again.

My big plans for this summer include RWA and exploring a little bit of San Fran. Really looking forward to it.

Off to work - I bet you’ll be having more fun than me!

  2. The Wii is fun exercise.
I wish I was going to RWA this year, but I had to pass. I hope everyone comes back talking about it so I can live vicariously through them

  3. The only time I’ve played on a Wii was at my friend’s house in New Jersey when I went up to visit her in December. We bowled and had a great time. I think I would really enjoy the tennis, too, since I love the game.

My big plan for this summer is my trip to Russia, Finland, and Sweden with my brother next month. We won’t be gone for very long, about 12 days, but it gives us enough to have a couple days in each of the cities we’re visiting.

  5. Hi Estella, I was telling my hubby that as much as I love that video if anything were to happen to our dog, I’d probably want another. I always say this is the last dog LOL

We’re pretty much staying home, too, except short trips to visit with the kids.

  7. The Wii IS fun, but we haven’t been able to get our hands on it since the kids started playing ;) No big summer plans–a lot of at-home time, which is nice, too :)

  8. Hi Fedora, that’s why it’s nice when the kids grow up and leave home  You and hubby get to play with all the video games.
