Travel, and a Free Read

Sasha White

I’ve always been a travel buff. I blame/credit it to the fact that when I was rowing up my family mved every year or threee. Until I was eleven years old, I’d never lived anywhere longer than three years. But then my parents decided my brother and I were getting too old to move around so much. So we stayed there until we were done high school.

My poor parents. As soon as my brother graduated, he moved away. A year later when I graduated, I moved away. My parents were stuck in northern Saskatchewan until my Dad was transferred two years later. Hee Hee.

Molyvos Church_2I can honsetly say, that I now have a very hard time staying in one place. I like to move. I like change. Change is good.

I have managed to stay in a few places for a few years as I grow older, but it’s only because my travel yen has gone international.

In fact, traveling is what made me think about writing. I wanted to be a travel writer - to get paid to travel. LOL However, it wasn’t to be. I do still use some of my locations in stories though. And MEANDROS is one of those.

Molyvos Corner Cafe_25 years ago I went to Greece for a few weeks, and Meandros is a short story I wrote 4 years ago, that is set in Greece . (These are pictures i’ve taken in Greece) It was published as an eBook before, but I’ve had the rights back for almost two years now. which means it’s been sitting on my computer collection dust. SO I’ve created a cover for it, and made it available as a free read on my website. It is a PDF. do look for the download link.

Since it as published before, I have a review quote here from it…and the blurb…

“MEANDROS is a story that is simultaneously poignant and uplifting. This book will pull at your heartstrings but it will also give you a glimmer of hope that there is a second chance to love again… This is an evocative tale that demonstrates the power of love and a very sensual and sizzling story between the two main characters… The reader is left with a very uplifting and positive feeling and this in turn makes MEANDROS an unforgettable book that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for an inspiring but also romantically erotic read.” ~Aggie Tsirikas, Just Erotic Romance Reviews

MeandrosWhen Tammi, a professional dancer, was injured in a car accident she thought her life was over. But then Tom, a handsome and sexy man entered her life, and refused to let her curl up and die physically, or emotionally. He taught her to find the passion of life again. He also taught her to live, and to love with her whole heart.

But when tragedy strikes again, and she loses him, will she give up on happiness and passion again? Or will she realize that the only way to honor the love of her life is to celebrate what he taught her?

  1. Love the pictures Sasha (plus I lurk occasionally at your blog). I wish I traveled more, but I can’t afford some of the places I wish to go, at least not right now. I want to do it up in style, not all-out but not on a strict budget either.

Your story sounds amazing. Thank you for offering it up for free! I’ll have to check it out.

  3. Stacy, I love to travel. If you lurk on my blog, you’ve probably heard all about my photography and travel interests. *blush*

There are a couple of other short travel style narratives on my EXTRAS page, (one for Mozambique, Nepal, and Belfast) Hot And Hard is a short story in Black Laces, Wicked Words 8, set in South Africa (I spent 6 months there) I’ll probably do more short stories in exotic locations, just cuz I love to do them. :)

Estella, I hope you like it!!
