Top Pick!

Jackie Kessler

Romantic Times magazine reviewed HOTTER THAN HELL — 4.5 stars, AND it’s one of their Top Picks for August!

***faints***

Here’s the review:

Kessler has outdone herself by giving readers a glorious book three of her deliciously sinful series, Hell on Earth. Daunuan’s sexy supernatural antics make sparks fly, and if you’re not careful you’ll singe your fingers as the pages speed by. It’s packed with quirky characters, a spicy, fast-paced plot and witty dialogue. Be prepared for a demonic treat that’s hotter than hell.

Summary: The incubus Daunuan seduces mortals and brings their souls to hell. The King of Lust offers him a promotion if he will seduce Virginia Reed, a woman meant to go to heaven. But Virginia resists his charms. Daun knows he’ll wear her down eventually, but first he has to deal with rogue demons and the realization he may be falling in love with the very woman he must doom for eternity. (ZEBRA, Aug., 304 pp., $15.00) HOT

***AND*** as a bonus to RT magazine subscribers, here’s the link to the RT author spotlight on yours truly. It includes a little something on why Daun gets what’s coming to him, as well as an excerpt from the book that’s not the one here on my website.

To celebrate, I’m giving away THREE author’s copies of HOTTER THAN HELL! For a chance to win, post below on why this summer is going to be hotter than hell. Winners will be picked randomly on FRIDAY, JUNE 27.

Have at it!

  1. For me, it’s going to be hotter than hell because I live in Massachusetts and with the humidity, the heat here can be stifling. Add to that two cranky teenagers and a car with no AC and you’ve got a recipe for disaster. I wish my summer could be more romantic and provocative than that, but alas, I have to look to books for that these days!

  2. (don’t enter me  ) Just wanted to say Hi! and Congrats! :happy dance:

  3. I live in the midwest and usually if we have a cool and wet Spring (unfortunately, we did with all the rain and flooding) it then generally turns extremely hot and muggy all at once which it is now doing. While the weather might become very hot, it could turn ‘Hotter than Hell’ at my house while I enjoy reading your book…don’t mind that kind of heat at all…bring it on!

by Shari C on June 24th, 2008 at 9:16 am

  4. Well, it’s not hot temp wise in my area… in fact, we’re supposed to hit 90 for the first time this weekend, and it’s about time! I think this summer will be Hotter than Hell because of all the awesome (and hot) books being released in the coming months. I can’t wait!

by Jennifer K. on June 24th, 2008 at 10:00 am

  5. Wow, congrats Jackie!

this summer’s gonna be hotter than hell ’cause of Global Warming! and on top of that, I live in the Sunshine state, and it gets so hot and humid. Thank god for A/C’s!

by Wendy on June 24th, 2008 at 10:27 am

  6. Congrats Jackie! That is amazing!!

This summer is going to be hotter than hell because we are heading to Iowa, most likely, in August for my Grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. So it will not only be hotter than hell it will be humid too.

by Lori T on June 24th, 2008 at 10:40 am

  7. Congratulations Jackie! That is wonderful. It is going to be hotter than hell this summer because I live in the South and we always swelter.

by Crystal B. on June 24th, 2008 at 11:37 am

  8. Congrats, that is an awesome review! This is one of my most anticipated reads this summer. :D It’s going to be hotter than hell this summer because our weather is INSANE right now. It fluctuates to these weird extremes with no rhyme or reason, making me think July and August we may be in for more heat than out temperate climate usually gives us!

by Rhien Elleth on June 24th, 2008 at 11:41 am

  9. Congratulations, Jackie! It is going to be a hotter than hell summer because it is always hot and humid in Maryland. Also my 18 year old son and I are sharing a car so it looks like mama will be doing some walking!

by Christine Moore on June 24th, 2008 at 12:37 pm

  12. Congrats on the excellent review. Well it’s NYC and it’s Hotter than Hell during the summer and even in the spring or fall. But this summer is going to be Hotter than Hell because I will be reading the book Hotter than Hell…hopefully.

by Phoebe Jordan on June 24th, 2008 at 2:04 pm

  13. Congrats, Jackie!
It’s gonna be hotter than Hell this summer because we’ve had such a cold dreary spring.

by Jane on June 24th, 2008 at 4:35 pm

  17. Big congrats! It’s probably going to be hotter than hell in PA because my daughter is getting married this summer and the actual vows will be held outside!

by catslady on June 24th, 2008 at 4:57 pm

  18. Hi Jackie,

Other than I’ll be HOTTER THAN HELL reading your book, it will be a scorcher here some days, I’m sure. Our weather here in Wisconsin changes often, but the summers get hot and humid. We have many festivals that hlep us to enjoy the weather.

by Dina on June 24th, 2008 at 6:38 pm

  19. well.. the summer has already started out hotter than h*ll. We had amazing hot weather in June. Maybe it is due to your writing.

by Ann M. on June 24th, 2008 at 8:51 pm

  20. I love the excerpt and the description of your hero!

This summer is going to be hotter than hell because Duan is going to knock on many reader’s doors and heat them up from the inside out.

by Kammie on June 24th, 2008 at 8:55 pm

by Terri W. on June 24th, 2008 at 9:44 pm

  23. Dude! The temp and the humidity are already in the 90’s here in GA and it is only June. Summer here is always hotter than the gate-hinges of Hell!

Congrats on the rockin’ review and top pick nod!

    by Angie-la on June 24th, 2008 at 10:09 pm

  24. Great review, Jackiem congrats on getting a Top Pick! IT was hotter than Hell with the humidity in CT the past week too, and yeah, global warming isn’t helping any either - now we’re stuck between the heat from down below in Hell and the heat from the atmosphere above! Thankfully the power didn’t go off so the A/C could run.

by Pam Pellini on June 24th, 2008 at 10:37 pm

  25. I read the article and blurb in in my RT (I subscribe, naturally) and was very impressed. Congrats on the 4 1/2 Stars and “Top Pick” status.

It’s going to be hotter than hell this summer because in Ark summer starts in April and lasts til Nov or Dec (have actually worn short sleeves and no jacket in Dec). Temps don’t drop below 100 June-Sept and will go into the 110s for weeks at a time.

    It’s getting HAWT!!!!!!

by Stacie Mc on June 24th, 2008 at 10:39 pm

  26. Huge congrats!! I got the magazine today from RT but haven’t had the joy to read it but pulled it out when I read this and so thrilled for you!!

Oh its going to be Hotter Than Hell this summer because if it wasn’t summer earlier this month it sure felt like it. Never had such an early time of the the year on the east with this heat and humidity. Now having my female organs gone I feel like I’m dealing with double the heat at times! Then I’ll get to read your hot book and the a/c will be on full! LOL.

by Caffey on June 25th, 2008 at 12:58 am

  27. Congratulations!!!! Great review!
As for me, it will be hotter then hell here because as summer’s go mine here has been mild and that means the really hot stuff is saving itself up to blast me soon. After living in this city for as long as I have, I can tell and know its right on the money. Of course my idea of hot weather is nothing compared to what my brother just came home from. He just got home after being deployed out to Iraq where it was a whopping 140 degrees!

by April on June 25th, 2008 at 4:17 am

  28. This summer is Hotter than Hell because I live on a lake and that means constant company!! Everyone else needs a vacation so they drop in ALL THE TIME!! More food shopping, cooking, cleaning!! Help!! It’s always hotter than hell in my kitchen because I’m stuck cooking!!!! I want a break to read your book Hotter Than Hell. Help me Escape!!

by Laurie G on June 25th, 2008 at 8:52 am

  29. I live in Florida where it is always hotter than hell. Every time I have to turn the oven on I cringe. Thank God for A/C.

by Cherie J on June 25th, 2008 at 1:00 pm

  30. Congrats, Jackie! This summer is going to be hotter than hell because I’ll be reading your book and I don’t have air-con!

by Jennybrat on June 25th, 2008 at 1:34 pm

  31. I hope this summer will be hotter than hell because of all the great books because right now it doesn’t look like that here in Finland, rather cold and rainy…

by Eva S on June 25th, 2008 at 3:07 pm

  32. Congrats on the great review! This summer will be hotter than hell because we don’t have any shade trees to block the sun from the house for the larger part of the day, and we don’t have air conditioning. ‘Course the heat from your book HOTTER THAN HELL may give the illusion of a cooler surrounding temperature…will just have to read it and see.

by Little Lamb Lost on June 25th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
