I do not, I am sad to say, have anything blog-worthy to blog about today. Maybe it’s laziness, maybe it’s summer-itis, or maybe it’s just that I’ve run out of topics to blog about that are remotely fun or interesting.
Alas.
So why don’t we do this: let’s talk about our plans for the summer, and I’ll send a surprise book bundle to the commenter at the end of the day that has either:
The most exciting summer planned; or
The most boring summer in store.
Are your travel plans at all affected by gas prices? Do tell.
And in the meantime, why don’t you all check out the cover for my October Kimani Press release, Tender Secrets…

It looks like all I’ll be doing over the summer is working. No traveling, no beach, no fun. But at least I should be able to revise two of the manuscripts I’ve written but never submitted anywhere.

 Boring here. Most exciting thing to happen each day is waking up…….

No exciting plans for me. Although my mom has been helping me redo my apartment, one room at a time!

That cover is gorgeous! Me want!
(Please don’t enter me in the drawing, Ann, as I got a book from you not too long ago)
I’m on the “nothing exciting planned for the summer” team–but my daughter is going to Alaska for two weeks on a ‘medical’ camp (she’s 15yo!) this month, and my son will visit from college some time in September, so it’s all good

I’m probably somewhere in the middle… but by far more exciting than the others posters. In August I’m taking a trip to Seattle with my sisters for a girls weekend… and it happens to coincide with a Sherrilyn Kenyon booksigning (I wonder how that happened
). And the whole family is also planning on taking a white water rafting trip sometime this summer… just have to get everyone’s schedules to jive.

I have a wonderful summer planned. A few of my girlfriends and I will be renting a condo at the shore for a week. That is something I am really looking forward to. Since there are 4 of us we can manage this getaway. SHould be fun and a new place to explore.

At the end of the summer I hope to go on a Mediterranean Cruise. One of the many dreams that I have is to see new places, broaden my horizons and have a change of scene. I love the idea of seeing that area at a leisurely pace.

Hi Ann, What a beautiful cover love it.
For my plans who knows if they will happen or not but here it goes for what I have plan with my fiance. We want to go to GA & PA to visit family. I plan to get lots of reading done. Get my hair done. Keep up to date with my blog *g* Also make some friend ship bracelets and more book thongs to sale on my blog site. My fiance is going to make me a web site for my art stuff I am making. Watch movies that I am waiting for to come out. Guess that is all for now *g*

We will try to get the kids and their families together for an annual ‘fun day’ and we get to see the grandkids(all 5 of them) two of which we haven’t seen very often yet.
We also are remodeling and have windows to put in and eavestrough to hang and a little painting on the front of the house.
We plan a ‘July 1st’ neighborhood get together; we have never done this but I’ve talked about it often so I’ve started stocking up on supplies..hopefully the weather cooperates.
In between all this, I plan on sitting out in the screened tent on my swing with a glass of cold Iced Tea and read to my hearts content.

Since I had no summer at all last year due to my husband’s death, this summer will be totally different. I have recovered and will be taking a trip with my daughters. What a special time to look forward. I can hardly wait. We are going to discover new places which I have never seen and it will be an eye opener for all of us. Together on holiday is a big change. Out West journey.

Since a nasty divorce, I haven’t had a vacation for the past several years. During this past winter I was lucky enough to secure a job as a caregiver and have been busy with that but not much else. As the price of gas has become prohibitive, and I don’t have anyone to “get away” with, I will be spending a VERY BORING summer working.
Maybe a few good books could help spice things up, ya know.

My daughter is getting married this summer. We just had her shower on Sunday which went smoothly thank goodness. I couldn’t believe how much went into the planning just for that. Her in-laws are having another shower that I’ll be attending in another state. Unfortunately after my daughter’s 3rd dress fitting we decided that the things that were to be altered and fixed were not working and we had to look for another dress ! We still have wedding details to plan. And while they’re on their honeymoon we are going to be babysitting there cat and new puppy - something my 6 cats are not going to be thrilled about lol. So I’d say it’s going to be a stressfully exciting summer!

Hi, Ann, Just wanted to say what a cool cover!! Not too much planned for this summer–a quiet one at home with the kids (or is that self-contradicting? ;)) Maybe I’ll get through some of my TBR!

Well, there were so many interesting (and boring, come to think of it!) summer plans that I couldn’t decide. So I randomly chose Anne to win the book bundle. Anne, please send your address to me via my website.
Ruth and DeeAnn–I am sending the two of you extra special wishes for a nice summer.
Until next time!

Today was my last day at work! (I work at a school) So I have the rest of the summer off. One great thing I’ll be doing is visiting England with my 88 year old grandmother and my mother. My grandmother wants to show me where she grew up and where my mother lived as a child. I have never been there before so I am very excited. Also I have a weekend planned with my husband and son in beautiful Blowing Rock, NC and another weekend at Myrtle Beach, SC where we will be visiting all the waterparks and the New Hard Rock amusement park. A lot planned in a short time, but I’m ready! Hope everyone else has a good summer as well!
