Summer’s here!
It’s that time again when it’s hot even in Alberta. Yes, we get cold cold winters, and hot hot summers. Not always hot hot, but definitely a few weeks here and there that will fry an egg on the sidewalk, in the shade. Anyway, the point being, I love summer!
I love all the men on motorcycles that come out, all the people playing softball, the sun, the flowers, the green leaves on the trees, and the BOOKS! One of my favorite things to do is sit on my deck, at my little bistro patio table with a margarita and a good book!
Although this year I’m worried about my new cat jumping off the deck and and falling three stories. Mystery, who I’ve had for a few years, doesn’t like to hang out on the deck. She’d always been a in door cat. But Scarlet, I adopted from a shelter, and she used to be a stray. She’s already out on my deck everytime I go out, and she’s jumped up on the railing. She’s a hunter, and she eyes the birds in the tree about ten feet from my deck with a hunger like no other….and I’m scared she’s going to go for it one of theses days.
Is that a silly fear?
These are my first cats, since I was a kid and really knew nothing about them…so I’m not sure if I should be concerned…
Anyway, back to the book talk. Yes, summer books. I don’t have a summer release to pimp, (But My Prerogative releases on Sept 2) so I’m going to talk about what’s on my TBR this summer list.
