Sometimes there’s just nothing better for me than curling up with a good book, or settling deep into my fantasy world in the writing cave…
Yep, this cover definitely induces a state of the Warm Fuzzies ;-)
But there are those moments- notably when I’ve just submitted a manuscipt and am ’slow cooking’ the next idea in my head- when all I really want to do is to curl up and watch a good film.
And yes- The Bourne Supremacy is definitely my choice at the moment for going out to see, but when it comes to those movies that induce a state of the Warm Fuzzies privately at home it has to be something vintage for me… I have the whole collection of Fred Astaire, movies, for instance, as well as Doris Day.

And that’s our chat point for today, with your chance to win a prize- as our winner will be chosen completely at random…
Which movie/movies do you recommend to the rest of us to bring on that longed-for state of the Warm Fuzzies???
We don’t mind a weepy- so long as it has a happy ending, or it could be something that makes us laugh/smile… but no violence or complicated plots… We just want to sit back with some comfy cushions at our back, some nice juice or soda at our side, and a extra large box of choccies on our lap.

***Don’t miss out on joining my Birthday Baby club, to receive a card and goodies on your special day… Details on the Fun page at www.susanstephens.net Sx :-)
Looking forward so much to hearing from you!

Oh, I love all the old Doris Day movies and watch them whenever they are on as they are light-hearted and always have a happy ending. I also absolutely love to watch ‘An Affair to Remember’ with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr even though it has its sad moments like any good love story it has a happy ending…a most for me.

I love the movie Sweet Home Alabama. I always reminds me that real love is forever and if its meant to be it will happen. I also adore Steel Magnolias I know this is a sad movie, but it warms my heart with the underlying love of a parent, spouse, friend and then the end with the new baby, priceless.

I just recommended this movie on another site - Forever Young (Mel Gibson in his younger days). It makes me laugh and cry and in it’s way has a HEA ending.

I think a long of the Roger and Hammerstein musicals are rather warm and fuzzy. And a few other movies I think are the same are: “Ever After”, “San Diego, I love you”, “The Bishop’s Wife”, “Rachel and the Stranger” and “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

Oh, my word- I went to bed early, got up and wow! How many comments do we have!!! Thank you all so much for your suggestions- my ‘To Buy’ list has just grown out of all proportion. I agree re musicals- though some of them are quite dark- Carousel… West Side Story… though it has to be said the music and spectacle more than makes up for that where I’m concerned.
And don’t even get me started on The Sound of Music- I even went to SingalongaSoundaMusic! (as a mountain with a group of friends [covered in a huge green tablecloth] But that’s a whole nother story!!
In fact there are so many here that I love and some new ones as well- do keep them coming, ladies, as with our time difference over here in the UK I’ll be back again before I choose our winner.
Have a great day- or a great sleep- whichever is appropriate ;-)

Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman - my brain wasnt working when I first saw this post.
