Vacation Time is Officially Here!
Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer. Yippeeeeeeee! With the winter we had in Cincy I wondered if we’d make it to summer. So now that we are here, are you going on vacation? Getting a chance to see something new, visit old friends, escape from work?
This year I’ll be hanging around Cincy but I have taken some great vacations. The whole family’s gone to Hilton Head and Maine and New York. My dh and I did Europe when we first got married. I wanted that instead of an engagement ring. Never regretted my choice. What a trip! Europe and in love…what could be better!
And of course there are the books you take with you on vacation. What great reads are you planning to take with you? Anything you’ve been holding off reading till you pack your bags? Reading on vacation is the best. You don’t feel guilty because you’re supposed to be goofing off. You can stay up late and finish the darn book if you want and sleep in because you don’t have to get to work or fuss with getting kids off to school. I read Gone With the Wind on vacation. It was great! I could really enjoy reading a loooong book without feeling I should be doing something else. No-guild reads. You don’t get to do that very often. I always feel like I’m sneaking in the time.
Yep, no vacation is complete with one good book to polish off.
So, where are you going on vacation? What book do you have your eye on to take along? And if you can’t make it out of town this year what vacation was your very favorite?
Happy Summer Reading!

We just got back from Fla last week - we stayed in a friends house. He is not moving in til July so house was empty and his TV WAS NOT HOOKED UP. Yikes, how awful. I got to read 3 books and finish up one I started before I left. Now I love to read, but NO TV, it was awful. LOL.
I re-read SEP’s NoBody’s Baby but mine and had forgotten how funny it was.
Also read Susan Mallery’s Someone Like You, Ginna Gray’s Building Dreams which was v.g. - now I find it is part of a series and have to read the rest. LOL. Oh, yes a 4th book I read that I picked up at the library discard sale down the street from where we stayed - Gina Wilkins - Yesterday’s Scandal. The book I finished was Give Him the Slip by Geralyn Dawson.
I am not really a fan of traveling but would prob have to say some of my fav vacations were my trip to Vegas In April, & trip to Disneyworld a few years back.
For a person that doesnt like to travel funny I have already done 2 vacations already this year. LOL.
Enjoy your Memorial Day everyone.

I fly to Florida for a month in August and I am counting the days till then.
I will only bring one book with me for the flight, because the first thing I will do when I am in the US is book shopping. LOL
Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Coming up is the get-together - YAY! That’s a vacation for me. I might be going to TX for RWA too.
I’ve always loved the Brava books for summer, and this year I have a few lined up, including Lucy Monroe’s Satisfaction Guaranteed. They are hot, sexy, and perfect the beach.
