Valentine Seduction Scene

Dianne Castell

Okay, my brain is oatmeal. I blogged on the wrong site! Gads, what a dope.
But I liked the topic I blogged on so much I thought I do it here too and see what you all thought!

In my books the sex scenes are usually any place but in a bed because the hero and heroine never quite make it there. In fact, of all the sex scenes I’ve written I think an actual bed was involved maybe two times. So now I’m doing something different in this next book, an actual Valentine Seduction scene. A real planned event with a bed!

Since this is virgin territory for me (sorry about that, couldn’t resist) I need some help. I need suggestions.

Do you think it’s better when the hero or the heroine plan a seduction?
What about a place? Where would be your ideal place to plan a seduction? Castle? Tent in the woods? Tree house?

What about accessories? Candlelight? Roving minstrels under the window? Wine? Beer? Grape juice? Propel (I’m addicted to that stuff)?

Attire? Should the hero or heroine dress for the scene? Something from Fredrick’s of Hollywood? A towel? A robe? A lacey hankie? Nothing?

What about fluffy blankets? Silk sheets?

Special food? I love ribs. Any way to figure ribs…as in the barbecue variety…into a seducion scene? And there’s my other favorite, whipped cream in a can. You can write directions and eat your words. :-)

Now’s the time to plan your perfect seduction scene…and share it with me.
All suggestions are most helpful and to show my appreciation for these great suggestions I’ll pick two names form the posts and give away copies of Texas Bad Boys.

  1. Wow, I had deja vu there for a second!

    I’ll post here too.

Lots of melted chocolate and fudge and strawberries, and yes, I am with you on the whipped cream in a can.

But I’m not sure about barbecue ribs,

  2. Rose petals everywhere, soft cushions, candles.

A beautiful lingere set for the heroine, just a robe for the hero.

    Silk sheets and strawberries

  3. Hi Dianne!

I’d like a seduction to start with a nice dinner and then move to a big tub full of bubbles with candles all around. Maybe some chocolate body paint or Kama Sutra Honey Dust afterwards. The heroine can wear something sexy but tasteful and the hero doesn’t have to wear anything at all except a sexy smile.

  4. I think that the seduction planned by the hero would be fun. Maybe he invites her over for a dinner of barbecue ribs, salad, and sides. The meal could end on a sweet note of simple homemade sundaes (something I imagine any guy could do). He then invites the heroine for coffee and cognac outside on his balcony (overlooking river or ocean) and asks her to light the candles in the holders outside. After she goes out, he grabs the mattress off of his bed and slides it out to the balcony, too. Sheets are high count cotton, pillows are added and he smilingly serves that coffee and after dinner drink. The white t-shirt and worn jeans come off in due time and they make love under moon and stars to the sound of river/ocean.

  5. I think the planning and the arrangements would truly depend on the characters.

by Joyce on January 25th, 2007 at 8:51 pm

  6. A roaring fire with a gorgeous fluffy rug in front of it. Candles lit with soft music in the background. Hot cocoa. A cocoon of peace and tranquillity. Nothing planned yet it is natural and beautiful in the ideal setting.

by diane on January 25th, 2007 at 9:48 pm

  7. I’d say a castle with large sunken bath, which would hold several people. That is feed from a hot spring. There would be several candles for lighting. I’d have it like a medieval scene. There would be a verity of fruits, cheeses, breads & wine. Not to mention the bed that would be considered king size, but would be 24″ thick filled with feathers. Her robe, you would be able to see her outline it would be so sheer. His robe would be a shade darker but not much. There would be warming oil to use after the bath.

by Tammy G. on January 26th, 2007 at 6:35 am

  8. I like the roaring fire scenario, but I’d put some wine in there instead of hot chocolate. The firelight would be beautiful on skin. Is there a power outage (or is this historical?). Of course, I might be influenced by the fact that our heating system died last night, the HIGH today is supposed to be 20 something, and I’m sitting here freezing waiting for the repair person….. that could be why the fire sounds so good:roll:

  9. a luxury suite in a 4 star hotel, candles, soft music, a sensual massage. Clothing not required.

by Crystal B. on January 26th, 2007 at 8:19 am

  10. Oh, wow! It’s deja-vu all over again!

I like the luxurious hotel room with wine, dinner and soft jazz or blues music. It is a scene just ripe for seduction. There should also be a bubble bath and a massage involved. Nothing too cheesy, though. And it should appear to be spontaneous, even if it is not!

And my suggestion for the ribs, you could do a scene like the Jennifer Beals’ character in Flashdance did while eating lobster and melted butter.

  11. A hottub on a balcony overlooking the ocean. Lots of finger food (that can mean barbecue ribs Dianne lol), champagne. Soft music playing. Scented candles everywhere. Heaven

by Mary J on January 26th, 2007 at 9:39 am

  12. How about sipping champagne (or possibly beer) while in a outdoor hot tub on a chilly evening in a rustic location. Complete the picture with a sky full of stars and the moon instead of candlelight.

by Lauren on January 26th, 2007 at 10:09 am

  13. A cabin with a fireplace, a big bed, windows that look out at a lake with stars twinkling on the water, candle light and good messy food!

by Susan on January 26th, 2007 at 11:52 am

  14. A hot tub overlooking a beautiful mountain valley with romantic music playing in the background, candles and a full moon (I just love a full moon). We would have wine and we would feed each other finger foods with different textures and a variety of flavors. For dessert we would move inside to the fireplace with a roaring fire and soft cushions and covers. We would have champagne and strawberries with whip cream and melted chocolate on the side to use for the strawberries but instead he uses them for a whip cream and chocolate massage which leads to…

    PS: no clothes needed ;)

  15. I didn’t have time to post on the other blog, so I am giving you my two cents here. I find that any scene were the hero of the story is making his woman his main course is amazing. Sometimes a few candles, soft music and smile are all you need. Other times, the whole seduction scene is great the drawn bath, champagne, strawberries and of course, whipped cream. I love a great love scene and it makes it so much better when you can feel the love between the man and woman.

by Patty L. on January 26th, 2007 at 12:51 pm

  16. Wow,. I am really liking Wanda’s scenario.

by MD on January 26th, 2007 at 1:31 pm

  17. I say start with candlelight, Godiva chocolates, a glass of wine and a tape od love songs playing in the background. He would be wearing silk boxers and she would be wearing a silk chemise. There would be a jacuzz whirlpool tub built for in their private bathroom to take a relaxing bath together in afterwards.

by Cherie Japp on January 26th, 2007 at 1:39 pm

  18. have the books tbboys. love just to be with my man with strawberries and making love.

by KIM H on January 26th, 2007 at 1:53 pm

  19. LOL Thought it looked familiar. :) I personally would take any of the above myself, but hey, something with chocolate’s always good. :)

  21. Finger foods are great when involved in your sex scenes…I love chocolate covered strawberries.

by Deborah on January 26th, 2007 at 2:42 pm

  22. A planned sex scene or just a spontaneous scene are both great as long as they are hot.

by Shuck Ying on January 26th, 2007 at 2:43 pm

  23. Hello Dianne,

How about this idea. Just something I thought about that I would love to give a try myself *G*

The heroine is in the hot tub while the hero is at work. He comes home to find her in the hot tub relaxing and he goes in there to wash her back as he washes her back she starts to get all hot & bothered so she pulls him in the hot tub with her. Everything starts to get all hot & steamy then it leads the bedroom where there are rose peddles all over from the floor to the bed with scented rose candles lit.

  24. Forgot one thing to add. Some strawberrys & chocolate on the side of the bed.

  25. Hi again Dianne,

I decided to fix my scene. Here it goes all fixed up and much better  Don’t mind me my mind just went to another place. I just started to write and everything sounded good so I just kept writing it. I guess this is one of my fantasies

It’s valentine’s day and (Hero’s Name) is at work. (Heroine’s Name) is in the hot tub
relaxing. The hero comes home to surprise his woman with roses and some chocolate with strawberries. He walks in and doesn’t see his woman. He then finds her in the hot tub but she don’t see him. He thought he would surprise her he decides to put rose petals around the bedroom. He starts from the bedroom floor to the bed. He lights up some rose scented candles. He puts the chocolate dipped strawberries on the side of the bed. The hero is all done with all the surprises and then goes to join his woman in the hot tub. He starts to wash her back as he is washing her back she gets all hot and bothered. They both start to kissing and touching then leading to the bedroom. She is surprised to see all he had done while she was in the hot tub and then pushes him down on the bed. She then starts to him all over he whispers in her ear baby I’m here to fill your needs just laydown on your back and relax. She does what he says and he goes and reach for the chocolate dipped strawberries and makes a heart shape around her belly button. He eats them off of her as he is doing this she is moaning and screaming his name. One thing led to another.

  26. Yes it is Deja-Vu, so I’ll post again. My romantic setting is a little lagoon with a waterfall in the background. We would take a refreshing swim in the water then head for the waterfall that has a cave on the other side of it. The cave would be outlooking from behind the waterfall where would would enjoy our romantic encounter.

by Teresa W. on January 26th, 2007 at 6:12 pm

  27. It’s a surprise for me. He flies me to a romantic secluded spot on a private island that he borrowed for the weekend. He would take me to a villa overlooking a cliff with a room that has a 360 degree view of the island. Candles would be lit, soft music and the sound of the ocean in the background. We would change into something more comfortable ;) (me a silk negligee and robe and him just a silk robe). We would have a candlelit dinner where we would feed each other, talk and laugh. We would take dessert and a can of whipped cream with us and get into a bed with silk sheets, where we would feed each other bites of something gooey, chocolaty and decadent. He would start missing my mouth so he could lick it off and start kissing me. He would next drop some on my negligee so that I would have to take it off. Then he takes the can of whipped cream and… has his way with me. A while afterwards there is a hot tub outside on the balcony where he would carry me and have his way with me again. We would spend the weekend swimming on the beach nude (secluded island), exploring the island and making love.

  28. I like the spontanity scene: they enter the house and they just can’t control themselves …clothes fly…. accessories just aren’t necessary! They barely make it to the bedroom…and they make love twice once in a frenzy and the second time you set the scene and they appreciate each other more slowly.

by Laurie G on January 27th, 2007 at 6:12 am

  29. I like seduction scenes. I love when the hero cooks for the heroine, puts some nice music in the background and they share wine or another drink with it, and then they make love. Much better yet if it is an a cabin in the mountains, or in nice cozy place. I also like when they are stranded and isolate from everyone else for some days, and one of them seduce the other.

by Julia on January 27th, 2007 at 12:21 pm

  30. The hero planning is a great idea. I love the roaring fire in a remote cabin or secluded place with no interuptions from the outside world. Also having strawberries cherries, chocolate, and whip cream in a can. yummy.

by Dena on January 27th, 2007 at 12:54 pm

  31. I love a cabin setting in winter with the snow blowing and the wind howling, a fur rug by the fireplace, hot chocolate and cookies and 2 bodies under a blanket by the hearth.

I like a wooded area, picnic basket with fried chicken, grapes, cheese cubes, loaf of bread and a sparkly drink, a blanket on the ground with music on the radio.

  32. I like it when they never make it to the bed.

  33. Thought I had posted here. Oh well, here I am now.

I too like the trapped in a cabin during a blizzard with a fairly well stocked kitchen so they can have some nice food and wine before hitting the sheets.
