Me, write faster? No, I’m pretty prolific as is, and in fact I sometimes slow myself down to keep from burning out. Some personal favorite authors of mine don’t write fast enough to suit me. As am author I’m always curious about what keeps some wonderfully creative authors from writing more books or from writing at least one book a year or perhaps every few years. Some of them receive personal notes from me begging them to hurry and write something because I’m dying to read their intriguing and unique voice.
You know those authors who completely pull you into their world because of their fine characterization, intricate plots, and satisfying endings? Now there are some authors that write fast enough for me that I absolutely enjoy, such as Sarah McCarty, Dean Koontz, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Childs, Holly Lisle, Suzanne Brockmann, Amy Fetzer and dozens of others…too many to mention. Thank goodness they produce novels regularly, or I just might expire.
In an effort to coax some other favorites to write faster, I’m listing them here and hoping you’ll check out their books if you haven’t already.

Please take some time to check out their books. I hope you enjoy these fellow authors as much as I do and encourage them to write more so I can get a fix. (Evil Grin firmly in place.)
In the meantime, tell me if you have personal favorite authors who just don’t write fast enough for you, and why it is that you crave stories created by them in particular. The first three people to answer will receive a download of my erotic romance quickie JUNGLE FEVER as soon as I return from Colorado Springs June 18.
In the meantime! Happy reading!!

One of my favorite authors is Janelle Denison. I discovered her books early on and have purchased every one of them. Great storylines and “to die for” heroes. Oh and the dialog…she has a way of making you feel a part of the scene and the hero is talking to you. LOL Her Wilde series is my favorite and they are one of the few books that I’d read a second and third time…maybe more. LOL

Tamara Siler Jones.
She writes what she calls forensic fantasy, and pulls you so deeply into her world whilst your reading the book, you just don’t want to leave!

Hi Denise,
I love Bonnie Vannak’s book and I can hardly wait to read her next one. I have to many favorite authors that I wish that would write faster, like MacKenzie McKade

Great idea Denise. I hope that helps by sending others over to clamor for their books.
I adore Suzanne Brockmann - I can’t wait for the latest. Some others would be Lori Foster, Erin McCarthy, Lucy Monroe, LuAnn McLane, Dianne Castell, Toni Blake - more sensual romance writers vs. erotic or suspenseful. I love how a lot of these authors are branching out, some writing paranormal or darker stories, some writing YA books. I would definitely follow them into any genre.

I would have to say:
Karen Marie Moning
Bertrice Small
Dorothy Garlock
Diana Gabaldon
Johanna Lindsey
Their books just don’t come out as soon as I would like them to. As soon as I finish the book I am ready for the next one.

Kim,
Thanks so much for telling me about one of your favorite authors. I’m like you…if the author can pull me into their world with a combination of elements, I’m a goner.

Minna,
I’ve had the opportunity to meet Vicki Lewis Thompson more than once, and she’s a very nice lady. One of my favorite category romances, Mr. Valentine, was written by her years and years ago. Love that book and still have it on hand.

Stacy,
I’m with you, loving Suzanne Brockmann’s books. She has a great voice. My favorite of hers will probably always be Prince Joe, but she also wrote some non-military oriented Loveswepts in the 90’s that were fabulous, and I have them in my collection.
