Flowers and Candy?
So, Valentine’s Day has come and gone. A lot of people are probably relieved — the pressure to be romantic is off for another year (well, except for birthdays, anniversaries and other holidays:neutral:). But all that talk about Valentine’s Day made me think about the heroes in our books. How would they handle the holiday? Obviously, this would be an individual thing. But what do you think your favorite hero would do — something public and spectacular like hiring an airplane to trail one of those banners claiming “Bob loves Mary?” Would he buy expensive jewelry? Or would he do something more subtle, more unique?
For example, take Roark (from Kathleen Woodiwiss’s book Shanna). This man is bold, has money, plus he’s an engineer — so I think he’d do something big, like build Shanna a house or commission her a ship.
What about your favorite heroes? Any guesses?
